Colleges and schools have an option to charge a special tuition rate for online graduate programs called e-rate tuition. E-rate tuition is comprised of the standard per hour tuition and a differential. The established base differential is $275 per credit hour. E-rate tuition is charged to student regardless of their residency status, equalizing the cost of the program for all students.
To apply for e-rate, follow the steps on this page.
The college/school will be notified if a program is approved for e-rate tuition and the program and it will be added to Curriculum System’s list of approve e-rate tuition. If a program is approved for e-rate tuition, the college/school can apply for first-year forward funding based on a projection about the amount of differential tuition. See this page for details.
Details about e-rate are found in the University of Georgia’s E-rate Policy.
